Marcellus - Team Lead - Client Onboarding (5-10 yrs)

Job Responsibilities:

- Liaison with the custodian, broker, banks and other intermediaries related to onboarding process of Demat + Bank + Trading account opening compliances etc.

- Liaison with all the different functions to set-up/modify/streamline the onboarding process

- Manage the Client Onboarding team and anchor the team to achieve defined metrics

- Deep understanding on the PMS/KYC/PMLA and other AML regulations

- Ensure compliance, operational risk controls in accordance with company or regulatory standards and policies

- Manage the host of MIS/reporting requirements for different internal & external stakeholders

- Thorough understanding of the KYC documentation for all categories of account including Individual, Non-Individual and Non-Residents

- Conducting necessary periodic training/knowledge transfer session for the team to keep them appraise on the market and product front

- Nurture, motivate & guide the team to deliver against the targets/plans

- Drive the team efficiency through defined quality metrics and measure them on periodic basis

- Demonstrate leadership and takes interest in the development of the team

- Knowledge on the Account Opening process and ability to undertake verification process of different type of accounts opened under PMS & AIF business

- Proven skills in communication, empathy, and conflict management

- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and service orientation

- Align to the needs of the internal & external stakeholders and translate into process improvements

- Ability to align to the training & process mapping of the business unit and deliverable as per expected role

- Works independently and within own team; may interact with other related teams and internal and/or external clients, as applicable
