Marcellus - Senior Manager - Legal & Compliance (10-15 yrs)

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Play key role in managing compliance for India PMS, AIF and IA businesses

2. Guide and mentor team to deliver on all mandates and contribute towards their professional development

3. Work in close partnership with Head of Legal, Risk & Compliance on strategic initiatives and deliver organisation wide policies and create compliance framework for the firm

4. Drive the compliance monitoring program for the India business

5. Design and implement firm level policies

6. Collaborate with the other functions so that technology and process improvement initiatives bring collective success to the firm

7. Partners with the rest of the Firm and gives assurance on quality of controls and conduct

8. Automate reporting and controls

9. Contribute to other firm-wide compliance and risk projects

Functional & Behavioural Knowledge:

1. Be the subject matter expert on either Legal/SEBI Compliance (at least PMS/AIF)

2. Hands on knowledge and experience in SEBI PMS/IA/AIF Regulations/FPI Regulations/Exchange Control Regulations

3. Demonstrates leadership and ownership for all tasks at hand

4. Great team player

5. Demonstrates independence

6. Good ability to articulate and reason

Minimum & Preferred Education, Experience/Skills:

1. Chartered Accountant/Company Secretary and Bachelor of Law

2. 12-15 years of experience in Compliance and/or Legal function of a Fund Management company, where the candidate has had exposure to domestic SEBI regulations

3. Exposure to offshore regulations will be an added advantage
