Description - Opportunity to lead the West zone manufacturing plants for automotive company

Client Details :

Our client is a global player in the automotive parts industry. It has 10 plants and several engineering centres in India. They are on an upward growth trajectory in India and to support their growth plans they are looking to hire a manufacturing Head in the vicinity of Mumbai

Description :

Reporting to the COO, you shall be managing the unit heads and also the functional department heads for all production, maintenance, quality control and safety activities.

You'll be responsible for -

- Creating and implementing best practice manufacturing vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance

- Ensuring that manufacturing strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality and delivery targets and which enables the company to function and compete effectively in the market

- Developing and managing master production schedule and operations budgets for products to directly support and ensure that the product is delivered to agreed cost, quality and time lines

- Planning and executing maintenance activity to ensure plant is kept safe and compliant

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance

Profile :

Ideally you have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field. A Master's degree in Business Administration is preferred. You have previously had 5-8 year's experience in manufacturing supervision, production management or plant management and about 15+ years of diversified engineering and operations experience in a textile environment. You have the ability to motivate people, assess and develop employee skills. You have excellent planning and organisational skills. You have the ability to balance production and maintenance needs and possess strong analytic and decision making skills. You have a good understanding of operations excellence and spearheaded several such initiatives.
