Manufacturing Domain Consultant Looking for experienced analytics professionals with a strong background in manufacturing for its Delhi or Mumbai The Manufacturing Domain Consultant is a senior role in the organization, and the incumbent will face clients in the manufacturing domain. Manufacturing domain consultants will be able to evaluate the client's manufacturing processes, systems and data and analytics practices and initiatives of client companies, in a consultative setting. The role will provide thought leadership to sales and consulting staff in client-facing situations. The Manufacturing Domain Consultant is expected to be an experienced practitioner of analytics, with a background in manufacturing, preferably in industries such as automotive, aerospace, industrial machinery, oil and gas, high technology or electronic appliances, FMCG manufacturing, or other related areas. The incumbent will possess broad and deep knowledge of manufacturing engineering, assembly line manufacturing and fabrication processes, manufacturing management and information systems for day-to-day manufacturing management. Candidates will also be expected to understand continual improvement methodologies as applied to manufacturing such as Lean, statistical process improvement methods. Successful applicants will also possess a good working knowledge of data analysis of various kinds, such as descriptive statistical summaries, data visualization and the development of dashboards, statistical inference and the development of machine learning models, and knowledge of one or more programming languages. Key Skills - Intimate knowledge of the manufacturing industry across domains such as automotive, aerospace, industrial machinery, renewable energy, oil and gas - Ability to lead client-facing discussions and engage C-level staff - Ability to organize and lead envisioning workshops for manufacturing organizations, covering analytics knowledge sharing, process walks, use case identification and envisioning - Good working knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics, the development of machine learning models - Good working knowledge of data visualization and business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI or Qlik - Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and a confident personal bearing - Ability to work with team members who are data scientists, data engineers, and business consultants - Past experience in a startup, intrapreneurial or entrepreneurial setting will be highly valued Education and Work Experience Requirements - Bachelor's degree in an engineering field, preferably industrial, mechanical or electronics engineering - Master's degree in business or analytics considered favourably, but not required - Between 7 and 10 years of industrial experience - At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing industry - At least 2 years of experience in a function such as continual improvement, analytics, quality or operations research
