Manipal Group - eCommerce Channel Manager (3-4 yrs)
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and lead execution of outcome-oriented consumer and data-driven strategies for all product and brand catalogs across assigned Ecommerce sales channels.
- Prepares and delivers account presentations utilizing all Sales and Marketing data as well as syndicated data (IRI/Nielsen, consumer research, etc.).
- Lead collaboration and review meetings with forecasting and logistics teams to ensure accuracy of forecasts and the achievement of fill rates to required levels.
- Prepare annual sales budgets and manage business growth within budget and profit guidelines.
- Develop and execute the annual sales strategy for assigned Ecommerce channels.
- Analyze the selection opportunities, including B2B and DTC, bundles, and product innovation to drive incremental growth in the category; bridge marketing need with MVP capabilities.
- Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual updates; this includes tracking for assigned Ecommerce sales channels and metrics as well as - Think Big- strategic project updates.
- Integrate with our brand/marketing team to aggregate consumer and retailer insights to develop new insights into shopping behavior and product development.
- Ability to prepare sales projections, management reports and budgets.
- Effectively communicate activities, both verbally and via monthly written reports, with sales, account services and product management on a timely basis.
- Manage retail objectives including distribution of new items, negotiating promotional assets, shelf space management and pricing strategies.
- Provides accurate and timely information on competitive activity and retail conditions to sales management.
- Penetrate new accounts and build and develop customer relationships
- Able and willing to work necessary hours to meet all project deadlines, travel when necessary.
- Develop mutually beneficial, respectful, and effective relationships with peers to ensure seamless coordination between departments, maximize synergy, and maintain a shared vision, strategy, and focus.
- Collaboration in the definition of the digital marketing and commercial strategies related to each seasonality, brand positioning, sales channel enablement and promotional calendar.
- Support the content to be produced and execute operational and sales alignment per channel.
- Support cross-channel communication activities and special projects, social media and other marketing activities.
- Management of all the regular and extraordinary activities supporting the strategic decisions related to ad-hoc and Special Marketing Campaigns.
- Coordinate and act as a liaison with PD, Merchandising, Digital Marketing and Communications team both at Regional and HQ level, as well as external buyers.
- Monitoring of the correct usage of planned content according to the commercial and marketing plan; control over the Ecommerce catalogue on each assigned channel.
- Work with the Digital Marketing team to optimize UX and site navigation.
- Definition of timelines and tasks in CRM and optimization of live product listings online.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Behaviors:
- Proven Account Manager with a minimum 5 years experience selling into Ecommerce sites/channels such as Amazon, Wayfair, Hayneedle and Walmart.com at senior buyer level.
- 5+ years of e-commerce, consumer goods, retail merchandising or management consulting experience.
- 3+ years of experience as a National Account Manager.
- 1 + years of experience using IRI/Nielsen syndicated data to drive sales/category management within key customers.
- Provide strategic direction, advice, content & insights to cross functional resources and local Multi-Channel teams.
- Highly capable of evaluating issues and effectively communicating technical and non-technical solutions to customers.
- Experience with negotiating and fulfilling national customer contracts.
- A track record of taking on big challenges and delivering despite obstacles and limited resources.
- An ability to manage and prioritize projects, and to delegate tasks appropriately.
- Demonstrated senior presence, recognized as an effective manager.
- An ability to hit the ground running - a confident, entrepreneurial self-starter.
- Analytical and comfortable with large data sets and drawing insights from them
- Innovative problem-solving skills - dissect and determine root causes of problems and implement solutions.
- Experience in business and data analytics, Excel, and Content Management (CMS/PIM).
- Articulate and persuasive communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Create experimentation sand-box/lab that will develop, test and optimize new/different marketing and communication tools, approaches and types of content.
- Develop processes, capabilities and tools for agile opportunities identification based on data analytics.
- Merchandising skills a must.
- Lead (and perhaps build) an internal Ecommerce support team.
- Excellent project management skills, leading, influencing, and driving cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills with knowledge of site metrics.
- Knowledge of Ecommerce technology platforms a plus, specifically Shopify experience.
- Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate high impact initiatives.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.
- Superb communication skills, including strong oral and presentation skills with the ability to communicate and interact at all levels - particularly externally to customers and consumers.
Education and Experience
- 3 to 4 years of experience in Ecommerce management.
- Experience in the Fashion and/or Home industry preferred.
- Knowledge of paid and organic campaigns, social and digital media campaigns.
- Digital Commercial acumen.
- Excellent analytical skills as well as written and verbal communications skills.
