KEY PURPOSE OF THE JOB (Position Summary):

The Product Manager for Manipal's School of Fintech will own the entire portfolio for the most critical initiative to be launched within Manipal Global Education, BFSI. This role will be responsible to build, curate, take to market, partner and own the entire P&L for the School of Fintech initiative, both across India and globally. This role will need a solid understanding of the Fintech Industry, a good comprehension of BFSI domain and a strong hold on the latest in Technology developments. This person will lead from the front in positioning the School of Fintech including go to market, branding strategies, product positioning and partnerships and overall delivery for all customer engagements under this school. This person should have a strong understanding of both B2B as well as B2C approach towards learner acquisition.

WORK RELATIONS

- Main interfaces with whom one has regular contact in carrying out one's duties (whom one reports to - direct & functional and to whom one has interface within and outside the organization?)

- Internal Interface Requires working with cross-functional teams

- External Interface Customers, Prospective Clients, institutions.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

List the critical accountabilities that must be achieved in order that the job purpose is fulfilled.

a. Responsible to know customer needs through research and market data

b. Develop product lines and appraise new ideas for market viability

c. Assess competition by comparing products

d. Create product marketing communications objectives

e. Responsible to work with the sales head to create product sales strategies and hence to evaluate sales call results

f. Responsible for creating long- and short-term product sales forecasts and analysis for management

g. Developing new products to market with return-on-investment analysis

h. Market new products with sales, advertising and production teams

i. Determine product pricing based on market research, production costs and anticipated demand

j. Schedule and assign operational requirements to follow up on work results

k. Manage the product team, including coaching and disciplinary actions, planning, monitoring and job appraisal

l. Product Wise Keeping track of the Cost and managing the P&L.

m. Conducting- VOC (Voice of customer), Rejector Analysis

n. Presentation of Report on VOC & Rejector Analysis

Support B2B, B2I, B2C Sales Team for Closures, Counsellor Training

KEY FIGURES: 

a. Direct responsibility to delivery 10 Crore of revenue in Year 1 going up to 100 Crore over 5 years.

KEY SUCCESS FACTOR : 

a. Launch of the product on time

b. Manage the spend -financial planning of product launches

c. Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization

d. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES

Qualification and Experience : 

a. Graduate - In any Field with minimum 8-10 years of industry experience

b. Postgraduate - MBA with minimum 8 years of industry experience

Skills and Knowledge and Competencies

a. Industry Insights and KPIs- knowledge of market and industry trends and being able to set and track key KPIs

b. Excellent Time management

c. successful product storytelling- that will be the defining factor if your product will be well received by your users or not.

Team Designation Current Responsibilities

Manager - Program Management - Conduct competitor and industry analysis for identifying and proposing product improvement initiatives.

- Assist in organizing product advertising, promotion and media activities

- Responsible for running end to end campaign, take feedback from Marketing- to evaluate what worked well, what hasnt worked well etc

- Speaking to Alumnus- Taking feedbacks and VOC voice for customers; Testimonials from students to speak about us about experience and suggestions to improve

- Conduct competitor and industry analysis for identifying and proposing product improvement initiatives

- Sales Marketing matrix- Daily reports about running campaigns
