- A client of Transearch, is a leading global health organization with programs targeting malaria, child survival, HIV, and reproductive health. Working in partnership within the public and private sectors, and harnessing the power of the markets, they provides life-saving products, clinical services and behavior change communications that empower the world's most vulnerable populations to lead healthier lives.

They have programs in over 60 countries. After a recent strategic assessment the organization is embarking on an ambitious journey to transform itself into a modern social enterprise.


- A key priority in this initiative is to bring commercial discipline into key markets and manage its product portfolio under a fully for-profit venture. Currently there are 3 such enterprises that are being incubated to strengthen both health impact and financials for sustainability.


The company has 2 business verticals-The product sales and marketing business unit and health solutions accelerator (HSA) business unit. In the 5-years business plan, both business units are anticipated to drive growth in the Indian market sustainably. The vision is to recruit an entrepreneurial MD who will realize and integrate PSI's vision across the BUs through a dynamic team of senior management professionals from both private and public health sectors.

- The MD will be responsible for delivering results by driving operational and organizational excellence. The MD will be responsible for ensuring that their social business model has a strong footing on both the social and business side. Critically, the role is key in managing risks and leveraging opportunities domestically.

- The MD represents the organization and is responsible for the overall strategy, management (programmatic, financial, and administrative), and development of the organization's India programmes. S/he leads skilled, professional teams to deliver the annual operating plans.

- In addition, s/he is responsible for preparing and executing annual budgets and work plans; developing new business opportunities; overseeing financial, administrative, and logistical resources; ensuring adherence to HQ minimum standards, policies, and procedures; and assuring quality operations in line with annual and long-term strategic goals and objectives. The MD also represents PSIIPL to the government, donors, and other key stakeholders.

- We are looking for an experienced leader with a solid background in strategy development, new business development, operational management, P&L, marketing and business management, along with good understanding of health systems. Proven experience of change management, including identifying the required change, leading the change program, and ensuring change is embedded and sustained is a preferred requirement.

- The MD will report to the Board and the VP, Social Business and Global Operations, HQ.
