About the Role

This role involves leading Client Coverage, Investor Relations, and Business Development for an investment banking firm. The individual will work on diverse deals, including structured finance, project finance, M&A, equity fundraising, and capital markets transactions across multiple sectors, both in India and internationally.

The role requires relationship-building with corporate clients, investors, and lenders, ensuring seamless deal origination and execution. The selected candidate will also gain exposure to managing a complete deal life cycle and be positioned to lead deal execution independently in the future.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Coverage & Business Development:

- Lead client coverage, deal origination, and mandate execution.

- Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, investors, and lenders.

- Engage with C-level executives, promoters, and directors for business development.

2. Investor & Lender Management;

- Identify and maintain relationships with investors and lenders.

- Assess investment rationale and align suitable proposals, deals, and projections for closure.

3. Client Coordination & Deal Execution:

- Manage client coordination, ensuring smooth information exchange and timely closures.

- Provide regular updates, follow-ups, and support during negotiations.

- Gather insights from clients to strengthen engagement and decision-making.

Skills & Experience Required:

Experience:

- 15+ years of total experience.

- 10+ years in investment banking, financial institutions, or fund houses.

- Hands-on experience in client coordination, investor relations, and deal execution.

- Proven track record of managing a project team, vertical, or similar leadership role.

Education:

- MBA / CFA / CA / MFA

- Excellent written and spoken English.

- Self-starter with a go-getter attitude.

- High analytical aptitude and deep industry knowledge.

Industry Exposure:

- Experience in investment banking or investment advisory is essential.
