About the team:

The HR Data & Analytics Manager is a key member of a team providing excellent HR customer service to Senior Leaders and C-Suite Executives across the News Corp network. The Data & Analytics team collaborates with the business to uncover data-driven insights to solve business challenges across the talent lifecycle and enable transformational change. This team will address key business questions and employ best practices in data visualization to provide actionable insights that support Workforce strategies and priorities.

About the role:

Reporting into the Sr Director of HR Data & Analytics, the Manager is responsible for:

- Partnering with business leaders and HR functional groups to develop and maintain a standard set of HR reports in workday leveraging self-service and security best practices.

- Working with HR operations, functional leads, finance and IT to implement standard processes and controls to maintain reporting and data integrity.

- Supports the assigned business units with ad hoc workday reporting as needed while maintaining the integrity of the standard set of core self-service reports.

- Gather requirements for necessary report changes based on business needs

- Impact assessment and dependency mapping to ascertain up- and down-stream mitigations required

- End-to-end development of complex Workday reports including matrix and composite reports and nested calculated fields

- Develop, write and perform testing activities based on the scope of the report and dashboards; investigate root cause of data discrepancies, discuss and agree on resolutions with appropriate data owners

- Audit & evaluate existing built reports to align to current practices and business landscape

- Ensure reports and data sharing are in compliance with our Data Security & Privacy policies and guidelines

- Setting day-to-day operational objectives for the team and managing delivery to ensure achievement of operational results.

- Ensuring policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers and stakeholders

- Driving SLA & KPI adherence / utilization

- Assisting in designing & implementing new initiatives & strategies (1-3 yrs)

- Fostering team engagement and collaboration

- Managing escalations, including raising to Sr. Leadership when applicable

- Communicating effectively to executive team

- Partnering with PMs to manage projects or processes impacting the function

- Serving as a SME on projects managed by partner functions

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Workday reporting, including strong technical skills in report writing, advanced calculated fields, data sources, security and dashboard creation and maintenance

- Minimum of 5 years of direct people leadership experience

- A strong working knowledge of HR systems, functions, processes, and advanced reporting environment

- Deep understanding across all HR specialties

- Proven track record of building professional relationships

- Thorough understanding of different roles and responsibilities within the HR function

- Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment

- Strong attention to detail to deliver impeccable accuracy and quality

- Excellent customer service skills including active listening and translating client needs.

- Time management skills and ability to stay organized

- Ability to prioritize and have discernment to know when to properly escalate and get feedback

- Flexible and intellectually curious and ability to work in a fast paced environment and entrepreneurial environment

- Ability to build cohesive teams and coach & develop employees
