About the role:
US Tac Manager:
As a Manager in our Tax team, you'll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients to exceed client expectations, and work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:
- Develop new skills outside of comfort zone.
- Act to resolve issues that prevent the team from working effectively.
- Coach others, recognize their strengths, and encourage them to take ownership of their personal development.
- Address sub-standard work or work that does not meet firm's/client's expectations and Focus on Quality.
- Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making.
- Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.
- Perform a detailed review of the work done by Seniors and Associates
- Work/Share knowledge on Tax Technical skills and to Improve the quality of the work Team.
- Effectively work in an outsourced environment.
- Exercising professional skepticism and judgement.
- Participating in a range of projects and open to collaborating and working with multiple teams demonstrating critical thinking, problem solving, initiative and timely completion of work.
Need to Have:
- Masters/bachelor's in accounting or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in US Taxation
- Fluent in English about work and understand language in the social and cultural context of the US.
- Experience of Handling a team in a previous firm.
- Experience with a regional or Big 4 accounting firm
- Proven relationship management skills and experience establishing rapport, trust and confidence with key stakeholders
- Ability to manage and motivate teams with team members at all levels
- Facilitated Training for staff and seniors.
- Experience working independently on multiple assignments or engagements, even in a virtual environment
Good to Have:
- CPA or EA is preferred but not mandatory.
- Candidate with exposure to US client handling is preferred.
- Prior experience in Managerial or supervisory role
- Experience with advanced Tax planning & Research tools
- Familiarity with emerging technologies and their impacts on Tax compliance.
