Manager- UK Corporate Taxation


Responsibilities:


Leading and managing the clients of UK, along with a diverse portfolio from various other industries.

- Direct client contact for several UK large corporates. The clients can be based out of other countries.

- Manager equivalent sign off on various engagements from India.

- Directing, managing, and developing a team of tax preparers from various engagements, with the ability to identify/solve issues, improve/grow the services provided to client teams, and develop the team by sharing best practices and insight.

- Planning compliance work and managing the process through to submission of tax computations with a low level of supervision from Senior Managers coordinating tax payments, loss relief, capital allowances, group relief and other claims.

- Responsible for reviewing prepared corporate tax computations across a range of industries and varying complexity type, ensuring that all required aspects of the tax computations, documentation and compliance process satisfy high standards.

- Understanding the implications for clients of changes in legislation and the

potential impact on their tax position. Estimating future tax liability and quantifying the impact of various changes legislation on company's tax liability and cash flow.

- Liaising with the client service team and with colleagues in other tax disciplines as well as the audit and accounting discipline to provide a coordinated service to the client.

- Advising the client on the computational treatment of any contentious issues and implementing the firm's advice in submitting returns

- Being the principal contact with smaller and larger clients on day-to-day tax matters and working with Partners and Senior Managers. Building relationships, both within the firm and externally with clients, identifying opportunities and managing expectations.

- Quality assurance of UK Corporation Tax returns and disclosures prepared by junior consultants.

- Supervision, training, and development of staff through review and evaluation of their work.

- Provide coaching on developmental issues to junior staff to achieve improved performance.

Skills:

- In-depth knowledge of UK corporate tax matters.

- Tax reporting under IFRS and FRS 102.

- Basic understanding of specific tax areas such as international taxation (CFCs, Foreign branches, Double taxation treaty relief etc.), Group restructuring tax implications, Corporate Interest Restriction, new loss restriction rules.

- Financial analysis - reading and analysing company financial statements.

- Excellent workload management skills with the ability to meet deadlines within defined budgets.

- Excellent interpersonal skills, self-starter needing little supervision, demonstrate consistent follow-through, judgement, and time management skills.

- Proven Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word.

- Excellent organizational, technical, and analytical skills.

- Excellent marketing skills required to creating new wins from existing clients and interpersonal skills.

- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
