Job Purpose :

Independently deliver small to medium projects as a project manager or an individual contributor and run them to key project delivery parameters, including ensuring requisite quality and timelines

Principal Accountabilities :

1. Project Delivery

- Lead end-to-end project management as per migration / transition lifecycle methodology (from feasibility to BAU) across locations

- Provide superior solution development through detailed analysis, identification of alternate delivery mechanisms and recommendation of preferred approaches

- Ensure benefit delivery as per financial and non-financial targets in individual and managed projects through effective implementation and change management

- Drive client focused and contextually aligned conversations to build strong relationships with stakeholders

- Setup appropriate governance for projects to ensure communication on progress and drive decision marking

- Handle changing priorities and business objectives

- Identify opportunities for enhancements in the way we work, and build a business case for change

2. Service Capability :

- Promote Group BPM services and brand to drive additional business

- Demonstrate thought leadership through articles, white papers

3. People Management :

- Identify, plan and facilitate capability development for project team

- Conduct team 1-1 meetings and feedback and periodic appraisals where required

- Ensure adherence to People Management Policies

Relationships :

1. Subordinates:

- Directly manage and develop project team members reporting into the role if any

- Mentor, lead and manage project team members for the duration of the project

2. Superiors :

- Day to day interactions for escalations and decision-making where required

- Weekly updates with reporting manager and hierarchy on project updates

3. Others :

A) Within the company:

- Frequent interaction with stakeholders from operating companies

B) Outside the company:

- Vendors when required

Person Specifications :

Education :

- Essential: Post Graduation

- Desirable: MBA

Work Qualifications

- Essential: PMP, Prince 2

- Desirable: Lean, Six Sigma

Training :

- Essential: NA


Experience :

- Essential: 7 to 10 years of experience in consulting / programme management, implementation/project transitions, process reengineering, change management.

Desirable: Multi-geography, multi-divisional projects

Knowledge :

Essential: Project Management principles, some knowledge of insurance, latest project management practices, industry trends, future growth prospects in the domain

Desirable: knowledge of the broking industry
