Manager - Taxation - Direct & Indirect Tax

- We are currently retained by a leading startup to find a Manager Taxation to lead all Direct and Indirect Taxation for the organization. Please note this role requires strong expertise in Direct and Indirect Taxes and not just the normal taxation handled by Finance team.

- The Manager will lead and manage multiple tax engagements to deliver quality tax services, keeping businesses compliant with various local, state, and federal tax regulations.-

- He/She will implement measures and develop policies for dealing with various areas relating to taxes. This role will also perform estimations, analysis, planning, and research and oversee audits.

The role requires the person to be able to:

- Handle and control entire Tax Function of the company- multiple business divisions

- Prepare and submit tax returns and related statutory financial statement

- Deal with Income Tax authorities for assessments

- Prepare Ground of Appeals, filing of appeals, appearing between CIT, Tribunal for appeals.

- Handle Statutory compliances and tax & Service tax audits

- Manage compliance of GST, VAT, CST, Service Tax.

To fit the bill :

- You must be a CA with at least 7-8 years of PQE

- You must have led taxation for a startup for at least 2 years-

- You must have dealt with tax authorities

- Knowledge of Direct Tax including Corporate Tax, Individual Tax Treaty, Withholding Tax and TDS

- Must have excellent numerate and problem solving skills with attention to details and be proactive in your approach to the work Direct and Indirect tax, Sales Tax(VAT), Service Tax and Central Excise. Tax Audit, advance tax, Provisions, assessments appeals, Tax implication support

- Excellent communication abilities to deal with global stakeholders
