Position / Job Title - Assistant Manager/ Manager

Qualification- Chartered Accountant

Experience-2-7 years

Job Description-

The tasks, roles and responsibilities pertaining to the job role of a Manager will include the following:

- Ability to analyse and discuss complex technical issues, gather relevant information from the client and offer solutions.

- Independently finalising withholding tax computations, filing of individual tax returns, writing advisory memos for clients, provide on call advice, respond to technical queries, etc.

- Independently handle tax assessments and represent before tax officials

- Preparing and reviewing reports, memos, presentations

- Ensuring update mails on recent amendments are sent to the relevant clients

- End to end execution of client deliverables ensuring quality and timeliness

- Developing good rapport with client management teams

- Manage and service allocated client accounts which will include participation in client meetings, attending to calls from clients, etc.

- Expand opportunities within existing clients, identify and act on referrals in relation to the service line

- Assist partners/ directors in business promotion initiatives viz research on specific sectors/ industries, preparing presentation, etc.

- Take lead on interaction with the Revenue and regulatory authorities

- Responsible for the complete execution of the assigned engagements

- Manage own time and time of resources effectively to ensure multiple client assignments can be efficiently delivered

- Effective implementation and review of work programmes. Updating the Associate Director/Director proactively on various work related issues.

- Coordinating with Associate Director/Director on the planning and management of assignments

- Overseeing the work of junior members of the team

- Coaching/ developing junior members

Profile Requirements Working in this discipline will see a Manager working fairly independently on engagements while managing teams (the sizes of which will vary depending on client/project).

To qualify for the same, a Manager will need:

- To be a Qualified Chartered Accountant with 5+ years of relevant experience

- To have a thorough technical knowledge of Tax, SEBI regulations, Companies Act, FEMA regulations

- To demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills

- To be well versed with MS-Office, presentation and report writing skills

- Possess Team handling and Client handling skills

- Have the necessary soft skills to demonstrate confidence and sophistication in interacting with senior level client personnel

- Through knowledge of Tax laws, Double Tax Avoidance Agreements, SEBI regulations, FEMA, Companies Act

- Awareness of developments impacting FS space

- Other prerequisite skills include:

- Demonstrating innovative and critical thinking in managing projects

- Passion for client servicing

- Ability to multi-task and have full control on deliverables

- Taking ownership of tasks to completion

- Strong analytical and numerical skills

- Ability to manage engagement economics

- Good interpersonal and networking skills

- Efficiency in MS office and report writing skills

- Being motivated, creative and decisive in approach to problem solving

- Ability to manage and coach teams showing effective delegation of tasks

Additional Details-

- Open to look at candidates from corporate tax or M&A Tax background also provided they are keen to shift to FS tax

- Open to look at relocation cases
