Job Title: Manager - Tax & Compliance

Location: Mumbai, Colaba - Head Office

Reporting To: Finance Controller

About the Role:

- We are looking for an experienced Manager - Tax & Compliance to lead tax planning, compliance, and regulatory affairs for a dynamic FMCG business.

- This role is ideal for a Chartered Accountant (CA) with a strong background in direct and indirect taxation, statutory compliance, and financial regulations.

- You will play a key role in managing taxation matters, ensuring full statutory adherence, and providing strategic tax advisory to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Audit & Financial Statements: Ensure timely financial closure, coordinate with auditors, and manage statutory audits.

- Tax Compliance & Planning: Oversee GST, Income Tax, TDS filings, and implement tax-saving strategies.

- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to corporate tax laws, SEBI regulations, and company law provisions.

- GST & Income Tax Management: Handle GSTR filings, input credit reconciliations, TDS deductions, and tax assessments.

- Transfer Pricing & International Taxation: Manage cross-border tax compliance and prepare documentation.

- Litigation & Representation: Liaise with tax authorities, consultants, and legal teams for dispute resolution.

- Process Improvement & Advisory: Identify opportunities to streamline tax processes and improve efficiency.

Key Requirements:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification - Mandatory

- 5+ years of experience in taxation and compliance, preferably in the FMCG sector

- Strong knowledge of GST, Income Tax, TDS, Corporate Taxation, and Transfer Pricing

- Experience in tax litigation, audits, and handling tax authorities

- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and tax-related software

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
