Opportunity with a leading confectionery manufacturing company based at Pune.

POSITION TITLE : Sustainability & Environment Manager

Reports : Plant Manager

Organisation: FMCG/Foods/Confectionary

Location : Pune

Function: : Sustainability, Environment and Energy

PURPOSE :

- The purpose of a sustainability department is to make the company more sustainable - that is, to help the company ensure its long-term competitive profit for the business by reducing the negative environmental impacts, protecting communities, restoring and conserving surrounding ecosystems.

- To coordinate on day to day basis with the Central sustainability function DISEE and support the plant manager for the implementation of the same (Policy, procedure, Operational requirements, communication) locally.

Areas of Responsibilities And Related Activities :

- Developing a 3 years Strategic plan and roadmap for the Plant on Sustainability topic.

- Cooperating with the central DISEE functions regarding policy, procedure, ISO roadmaps for 14001:2015/50001:2018, Master projects

- Collecting, elaborating and monitoring environmental/energy performances-related indicators (KPI of the plant).

- Managing ISO 14001/50001: Gathering documents, development, authorizing and organizing environmental audits (Internal/external), system implementation & maintenance.

- Exploiting the best available technologies and carrying out energy/environment projects.

- Internal and external communication with relevant Stakeholders on Legal compliances/Sustainability topics

- To make the nearby Communities into a showcase for sustainability and sustainable practices (Community Awareness/Water Aid Projects)

EDUCATION :

- An Engineering degree with environmental studies preferred.

- NETWORK OF INTERACTIONS (relations in input/output and main actors)

- UGP & Supply Chain Managers.

- Technical Managers (Utility, Maintenance, Project).

- Health & Safety Manager.

- Quality Manager.

- Technical & General Purchasing.

- Packaging development department.

EXTERNAL :

- DISEE : (Direzione Industrial Sustainability, Environment and Energy).

- DPU (Packaging Development).

- Companys Engineering
