One of the MNC's in data center business is hiring a SCM Manager to sport the business expansion. Job Purpose Extend SCM support &amp; Procurement demands for Functions, viz S&amp;M, HR, Finance, IT etc. Create &amp; implement strategy that will be responsible for faster and cost-effective deliveries of projects. The role demands very dynamic &amp; adaptable approach for supporting Business objectives. Represent SCM in influencing best practice standards through participation in relevant Stakeholder &amp; vendor forums Key accountabilities and decision ownership: - Work very closely with User function &amp; team for requirements from inception. Make recommendations from SCM standpoints and impact deliverable. - Early engagement with stakeholders to facilitate right dimensioning, vendors and commercial model. - Accountable for monitoring SLA performance with key project suppliers. - Identify high risk suppliers &amp; work on alternate plan to minimize the risk. - Periodic supplier Governance meeting with suppliers. - Validate requirement, float RFQ/RFP - Make cost comparisons &amp; arrive at target price. - Leads negotiation and contracts closure with partners for major deals in consultation with Legal and internal stakeholders. - Driving TCO reduction for the Project Core competencies, knowledge and experience: - Strong commercial, negotiation and analytical skill with ability to draw big picture - Ability to communicate with Impact and engage effectively with stakeholder at Executive level. - Experience of end-to-end SCM. - Strong communication &amp; decision making skills-ability to manage conflicting interest - Cross functional experience with relevant SCM Background. - Qualifications: Mech/Electrical Engineering background with 8-10yearsof Industry experience.
