Job Title: Manager - Supply ChainReporting to: Director - Business Development & Divisional ManagerLocation: SEZ Aerospace Park, Bangalore

Roles & Responsibilities:

Vendor Management: Evaluate, assess, and select vendors based on capabilities, performance, and consistent quality. Maintain strong relationships with vendors and ensure accurate vendor records.

Procurement & Inventory Management: Assess inventory reorder levels and quantity price breaks to determine cost-effective purchasing of inventory and supplies in alignment with the company's cost of capital. Prepare monthly procurement reports and review purchasing commitments with Finance.

Capital Goods Procurement: Oversee the procurement of capital goods and direct materials, ensuring alignment with business needs.

Order Expediting: Manage and expedite purchase orders to ensure timely delivery for uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

Inventory Optimization: Achieve targeted inventory turnover ratios and maintain optimal inventory levels in collaboration with the production team.

Cross-Department Coordination: Work closely with the Finance department for timely bill payments and with production teams for effective inventory management.

Employee Skill Assessment: Review skill matrices before task allocation to ensure efficiency and competency.

Import & Export Compliance: Ensure the timely provision of documents required for the clearance of imported goods and compliance with SEZ regulations.

Quality & Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to QMS - AS9100 standards and ensure compliance across supply chain processes.

Additional Duties: Perform other procurement, inventory control, and supply chain-related duties as required.

Skill Sets & Knowledge Required:

Procurement Expertise: Experience in purchasing capital goods and direct materials.

Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with indirect tax rules and SEZ regulations.

SAP Proficiency: Strong knowledge of SAP 4 HANA and experience working in an SAP-driven environment.

Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and suppliers.

Leadership & Team Management: Ability to lead and mentor a team with a strategic and system-driven approach.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Problem-Solving & Time Management: Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and MS Projects.

International Trade Knowledge: Understanding of Incoterms and import/export documentation.

Industry Standards Compliance: Working knowledge of AS9100 quality management system standards.

Interpersonal & Strategic Thinking: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop long-term procurement strategies.
