Manager - Strategy & Operations - CPG/Retail Sector
- Working with the Senior Leadership to lead and deliver commercial and market reviews, strategic studies, and business plan reviews
- Driving the design of commercial and financial analysis e.g. market sizing, market driver analysis, business model analysis, competitive benchmarking, etc.
- Actively building and managing the relationship and interface with international Strategy and other deal advisory professionals
- For medium to large engagements, being actively involved in structuring the output and its delivery
- Being responsible for design and quality of deliverables
- Directing, managing and mentoring junior team members on engagements
- Recruiting, managing and contributing to the development of junior staff
- Supporting global teams or leading business development initiatives, including bid proposal and management
- Contributing to thought leadership and knowledge management to support practice development
Essential skills required -
Education / professional qualifications -
- MBAs, CFAs and Engineers from a leading Indian/International educational institution
Prior Experience:
- Relevant experience (7-10 years) gained in either corporate roles, strategy consulting, or similar analytical/ deal experience in the relevant sector/ propositions (as applicable)
- Project and Team management exposure
- Credible record of operating as an independent contributor and also working as part of a team during larger projects
- High problem solving skills; ability to drive through to an outcome in circumstances of complexity and ambiguity
- Goal driven - should be focused on helping clients meet their requirements - by developing answers and solutions when client requirement remains unclear / changes, and by providing relevant insights and key questions to fit the client objective
- Credible record of operating at a team management level
- Experience of leading project teams and developing proposals
- Driven and ability to work independently
- Strong numerical, analytical and strategic thinking skills - able to demonstrate how one supports the other - and sound commercial acumen
Technical skills:
Experienced candidates in the Consumer and Retail Strategy engagements, with good experience on data analytics in the process. Any US retail experience + global exposure is a plus
