Manager - Strategy - NBFC

About the Company :

The client is a Non-Banking Finance Company (NBFC) registered with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) as ND-SI (Non-Deposit taking systemically important) and is listed on both the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE). The company has a book size of close to Rs 5000 cr.

Lending Business :

The company lends primarily to three sectors:

- Real Estate Lending : The client provides short to medium term loans to real estate developers at different stages of project implementation including the project approval stage funding or as a last mile funding

- SME and Retail Lending : The client provides financial solutions for micro, small and medium entity/s by providing short to medium term loans for acquiring capital assets like machinery /equipment, Loan against property (LAP), Loan against Property Rentals, etc.

- Affordable Housing Finance : The company has has an aggressive Affordable Housing finance business and is progressively venturing into tier 2/3/4 towns.

Job Title : Manager - Strategy

Location : Lower Parel, Mumbai

Roles & Responsibilities :

1. Part of the strategy team involved in devising future strategy and performing financial modelling including P&L, Balance Sheet, CRAR and AUM projections

2. Competition Benchmarking against peers NBFCs: Benchmarking the company on various financial parameters and preparing peer analysis reports indicating the company's competitive positioning

3. Spearhead annual budgeting exercise with senior management

4. Assistance to CEO's office which involved evaluation of credit proposals & board notes and addressing adhoc strategic requirements

5. Conducting monthly business performance review meeting with CEOs and CFOs

6. Created a dashboard for senior management ready reference

7. Manage investor and analyst communications including quarterly/annual earnings releases, investor presentations, conference calls, regulatory and disclosure compliance, planning and scheduling meetings

8. Prepare quarterly summary based on analyst reports for senior management reference covering investment community's perception of how the company is being managed and their views on financial results

9. Participate in equity and fixed income investors / analyst conferences and meetings

10. Manage detailed due diligence for home finance and NBFC business with auditors and lawyers

Requirements and Qualifications :

1. 3+ years of experience in a strategy / consulting role

2. Full time MBA / CA
