Manager - Strategy & Business Development - North America 


We are looking for a matured and experienced candidate for the role of Manager - Strategy & Business Development with one of the Tier 1 Law Firms.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be primarily in charge of leading and supporting international business development initiatives, especially towards the US market. You are expected to:

Support all international client development activities across practices including:

- Identifying business opportunities and help prioritize on the allocation of the firm's resources

- Share market intelligence by researching industry and business trends

- Strategize and deliver client pitches

- Follow up with relationship teams

- Tracking engagement with select clients to monitor performance

- Manage internal activities to efficiently deliver on all the above

- Support international trips by preparing for meetings and researching prior engagements of clients

Closely engage with trade bodies, industry associations, high commissions, multiplier agencies, and intermediaries:

- Maintain the list of top agencies that would be relevant to the promotion of the firm

- Keep a close tab on events, conferences, and webinars proposed

- Ensure good representation of the firm on prime committees and delegations

- Make recommendations on participation and sponsorship proposals

- Actively develop and maintain a deep understanding of the market and the competitive position of the firm through extensive internal and external research

- Curate strategy to optimize the firm's presence at events with prime speaker and branding

Competencies:

- Commercial bent to convert leads into the actionable sale of legal services

- Proactive ability to develop leads and opportunities to meet and connect with clients

- Ability to interact, challenge and influence credibly at senior levels

- Autonomy and ability to run and effectively manage multiple projects at the same time

- Ability to create and maintain efficient tracking tools to pursue business leads
