Manager - Strategic Planning

A highly reputed Indian Multinational having a sales turnover in excess of Rs. 1500 crores with headquarters in Mumbai and manufacturing operations in 2 locations within India has entrusted us with the selection of a Manager - Strategic Planning in the MD's Office.

In line with the Group's philosophy of recruiting only the best, the person we are looking for needs to be intellectually outstanding and a knowledge-based leader in the area of Corporate Planning and Strategy with 3-6 year's post-qualification experience in Industry. The company operates in the Oil & Gas space.

The incumbent's key responsibilities shall be:

- To design medium/long-term strategy for the Business and participate in the Annual Business planning and budgeting exercises.

- To monitor & analyse the performance of the Company.

- To help achieve yearly profitability targets, product-wise/location-wise and give suggestions on profit improvement plans.

- To benchmark the performance against other manufacturing units under the company as well as competitors.

- To throw open new ideas/ suggestions/ schemes and continuously evaluate/ recommend new business opportunities.

- To provide necessary performance measurement as well as support decision making processes by ensuring optimum resource utilization.

- To engage with all the functional heads for strategic gap analysis, future priorities, vision alignment and evaluate and analyze key trends of the business and identify areas that require deep-dive by CXO.

- To appraise capital and operational expenditure schemes being proposed by various business units and provide inputs for approval. Closely monitor the implementation of the same and highlight deviations.

- To assist the CEO in major business growth plans like acquisitions of assets by undertaking required M&A screening (short listing targets, preliminary valuation and due diligence)

- To drive group-wide projects for the business with directions and inputs from the CXO.

- To create strategy discussion forums for projects like Pricing, Distribution, Brand Management, Scenario Planning, Customization.

- To evaluate the performance of the marketing functions across the business and to determine product and state-wise market-share improvement strategies.

- To carry out due diligence and new business evaluations for business expansion.

- To strategise plans for expansion into new areas and be responsible for assisting various business units in the formulation, implementation and monitoring of strategic initiatives and Co-ordinate with various stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of the roadmaps as per the strategy plan.

Candidate profile:

- MBA from Premier Institutes like IIMs, XLRI, MDI, SP Jain, NITIE, FMS, etc with 3-6 years of post qualification experience.

- Must have exposure to the Manufacturing sector in Business Strategy, Finance, Marketing or experience as an EA to a CXO.
