Manager/Sr Manager - Collections Analytics

Analytics- Risk team is responsible for developing integrated risk strategies, providing business inferences, supporting the modeling / forecasting needs and management information reporting. The work would primarily involve the use of customer / operational data and application of statistical tools and techniques.

Collections Analytics Team operating under Retail Risk team supports Group Collections across the various regions in the group. The team is involved in providing best-in-class collections analytic solutions and standardized practices to collection functions across the globe ensuring improved effectiveness of the strategies and efficiency of operations.

In this role, you will be primarily responsible for :

Team of 11 members which supports the Collections and Recoveries Strategy function across various European countries, however, UK has got majority portion of the engagement. Team is primarily responsible for building and execution of various collections and recoveries strategies which includes risk segmentation, scorecard building, contact strategy, forbearance strategies, Debt sale valuation etc., also provides analytics supports to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the collections function and provides management information system support.

Job Description -

- Recruit, on-board, train, coach, develop talent and proactively retain high performing team members of analytics

- Responsible for managing one or more teams and few critical functions

- Ensure productivity and output of the team should fall in line with the stated SLAs. Monthly monitoring and review of all projects with stakeholders to ensure that all stated SLAs are met

- Drive business benefits through self-initiated projects

- Manage relationship with key stakeholders in the Business (Onshore and Offshore) to build confidence in team, facilitate migration of additional responsibilities to team and enable stakeholders investment in development of the team

- Help the business understand the underlying drivers of profitability and help shape the strategic vision for team in the short and long term.

- Drive Analytics wide initiatives (Recruitment, Process-efficiency, On-boarding etc...)

- Identify process inefficiencies and develop solutions to streamline them

- Ensure adherence with all the applicable compliance policies (Data security policy, AML, operational risk, Functional manual, Group Compliance Manual, Audit recommendations, Internal Control requirements, regulatory guidelines etc.) and business standards of Organization as applicable. Take timely action on Audit comments and be able to demonstrate compliance with Internal controls

Skills/Experience Required

- Master's degree from reputed University with concentration on economics or other quantitative field such as statistics or engineering.

- Strong analytical skills with 6+ years of proven business analysis experience or 3+ years of Collections analytics experience.

- Person should be a subject matter expert (SME) in Collections domain and should have advanced understanding of sectoral trends & issues.

- Knowledge of forecasting and statistical modeling techniques, market research and multivariate analysis tools (e.g., factor and cluster analysis, conjoint analysis etc.) is a plus

- Ability to comprehend intricate and diverse range of business problems and analyze them with limited or complex data and provide a feasible solution framework.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to develop and effectively communicate complex concepts and ideas

- Ability to work in cross-functional teams. Strong interpersonal skills and drive for success
