Manager - Sourcing/Procurement - Consumer Durable

Principal Responsibilities:

- Required to deliver best in class strategic sourcing, Inventory management, and Distribution for the manufacturing unit.

- Manage and optimize supplier performance, including contract compliance, continuous improvement, innovations, and reduction in total cost of ownership

- Maintain collaborative relationships with supplier(s) while effectively resolving supplier performance/capability issues to ensure alignment with business requirements.

- Must have good analytical abilities to assess the performance of suppliers against criteria such as quality, cost and delivery

Skills required:

- Must have financial skills to assess the total cost of dealing with a supplier, including price and factors such as the costs of delivery, administration, quality control and inventory.

- Must have good interpersonal and negotiating skills to build effective working relationships with supply partners.

Education- Engineering (Mechanical) - MBA would be preferred

Industry- Must be from either of the backgrounds- Consumer Durables/Automotive/Building Material company
