Manager - Social Impact Consulting - Real Estate/Infra Sector

Responsible Business Advisory (RBA) team has more than 40 experienced professionals, working on environmental & social assessment, supply chain reviews, climate change, sustainability reporting. Our team offer services locally that are delivered in collaboration with multiple territories, industry expertise and other core capabilities within the organization such as strategy, monitoring and auditing on key issues like environmental compliance, climate change, green growth, responsible finance and responsible supply chain.

Roles & Responsibilities (essential functions and responsibilities of the job):

Position: Manager

Experience: 10-12 years

Educational Qualifications: BE (Any) + MBA/ MMS / ME/ PG in Environmental Management

Sector Requisite: Ports, Real Estate, Highways, Flyovers and Major Road Projects

Past Experience Preferred in:

- Working on World Bank/ ADB funded Environmental and Social impact assessment studies.

Past Roles Preferred as:

Bid Manager, Business Development executive, Project Coordinator, Senior Consultant, Project Lead, Engagement Team Lead.

Candidate Specifications (insert the relevant personal skills here):

Key skills -

- Should have earlier experience in preparing (a) technical proposals and participate in business development with existing clients and identified leads (b) technical proposals to be submitted to various multi laterals and bi-laterals including preparation of technical proposal in World Bank formats.

- Experience in working on the Environmental impact assessment and Environment Social due diligence projects in accordance with the IFC Performance standards and ADB Environment safeguards

- Manage delivery of Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) reports for projects and meet the regulatory requirements of in-country environmental legislators and international financiers.

- The candidates should be able to conduct tasks with due diligence, carry out third party reviews and component person's reports. Provision of training to companies or regulatory authorities on environmental issues will also be a necessity. This role also requires people with experience in delivering complex ESIA projects to meet client expectations, to budget and in line with project schedules.

- Working experience with a wide range of clients from both public and private sector and multi laterals (such as World Bank / ADB);

Technical Skill Requirement for the Role:

Project Management Skills: 

1. Knowledge of All Project Management Disciplines such as Planning; Scheduling; Cost; Procurement; Change; Risk; Communication; Coordination; Reporting; MIS; Decision Support; Execution Management and Project Closure Management

2. Understanding of developing systems; processes; guidelines; formats and templates on project management disciplines for implementation

3. Understanding of the complete project lifecycle from concept to project feasibility to project planning to execution and commissioning.

4. Ability to lead the project individually with a small team.

Business Development Skills: 

5. Ability to conceptualize and draft a proposal consisting of Summary, approach and methodology, work plans of delivery to the Clients.

6. Good writing skills and ability to review and add value to the developed drafts.

7. Ability to interact with prospective and regular Clients to understand their need.

8. Sound presentation and communication skills with excellent command on spoken English.

9. Business Acumen to understand Client needs & market assessment of present business

10. Understanding of business strategy formulation and MIS
