Manager/Senior Manager - SALT Tax
The essential duties and responsibilities are:
- Strong expertise on State and Local Tax (SALT) practice.
- Expertise knowledge on Form 1065 and Form 1120S returns with specialized in Real Estate and Manufacturing and Construction client handling.
- International tax form like Form 8621, Form 8858, Form 5471, Form 5472 knowledge will be added advantage.
- Review of Simple to Complex return.
- Builds relationships across industry service groups to ensure client service excellence through an integrated approach.
- To effectively manage a team of tax professionals and delegating work assignments as needed.
- To ensure that high-quality services and work products are provided to client.
- Investigate new tax laws and developments.
- Reviews, research findings, tax returns and work paper, formulates conclusions consistent with firm policies and professional standards, and determines implications and best course of action for client.
- To manage engagements through a teaming structure, leveraging resources appropriately and developing and train a team that will enhance client experience.
- To participate in key meetings and present results to the Country Head on tax compliance issues.
- Ensures all tax advice is technically correct and properly documented.
- Understands the firm's policies, procedures, and professional standards
- Dedicates time to coaching and developing others through training, providing opportunities for them and helps them succeed.
- Actively communicates the client's needs and facts to the appropriate team members to execute the work
- Builds relationships across industry service groups to ensure client service excellence through an integrated approach
- Develop trust worthiness with the client and team members
- Manages progression of quality deliverables on time, in scope and within budget and/or realization goal
Qualifications:- Must have Mcom/MBA degree - Enrolled agent certification will be added advantage.
- Partnership and S Corp experience on SALT must and should.
- 8-10 years of work experience
