We are looking for research specialists in the Media and Entertainment space for one of our clients.
The JD is as follows :
Location : Bangalore
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform secondary research focusing on Media & Entertainment topics utilizing a number of sources, internal and external, paper and electronic, including web-based and online databases.
- Retrieve, synthesize, package and present secondary research findings according to the needs of the customer.
- Support clients and business development teams with various pieces of analysis: company profiles, Industry Market Watch on a monthly or quarterly basis, market segment profiles, analysis of Accenture competitors, issue-based research, data-driven research, and financial analysis.
- Consistently deliver high quality work within budget and on time.
- Identify new sources of relevant content and contribute to evaluations of external content for acquisition.
- Development of knowledge in major Media & Entertainment industry segments (business acumen, key players, overall market trends) and technologies (overall information technology and networks trends) as well as deep understanding of relevant specialty sources.
- Actively participate in general secondary research responsibilities e.g. participating in Research workgroups at local, regional or global level etc.

Hard skills :
- A post-graduate degree/qualification in business administration (MBA) with 5-8 yrs exp IN
- Solid experience in secondary, strategic research and information retrieval methods and techniques
- Ability to synthesize large amount of information
- Analyze company performance
- Previous experiences in Media & Entertainment or related industry segment
- Solid experience in packaging, synthesizing and presenting research deliverables
- Strong Excel skills
- Good PowerPoint, + Word skills
- Ability to quickly grasp complex and unfamiliar subjects
- Good written and oral communications skills, including the ability to understand and define clearly the research requirements and expectations of the customer
- Ability to work independently and share status updates on work progress
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize appropriately
- Openness to testing new and innovative tools to deliver research
Soft Skills :
- Enthusiasm to work effectively in global, multi-cultural, multi-time zone team (Europe, South Africa, India, China, U.S.A., and Latin America)
