Manager/Senior Manager - Product Management - Software

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

- Manage product planning and release processes

- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment around product capabilities

- Identify product gaps regularly against competition and based on user research

- Work with outsourced engineering and product teams

- Work very closely with engineering teams to provide product direction

- Ensure timely releases and high-quality delivery

- Partner with design teams to create simple user experiences for customers

- Represent product in executive-level customer and prospect meetings

- Provide inputs to sales and marketing teams as and when required

Experience

- 3 to 5 years of experience in software product management in enterprise and consumer products shipping mobile and web based products/services

- Demonstrated success in identifying and driving new product concepts

- Demonstrated success in shipping products with visible impact on customers and markets

- Experience with both business and consumer applications

- Good presentation skills and executive presence

- Good data driven skills to arrive at informed decisions

- Appreciation of good design

- Strong understanding of open source software technology platforms and stacks

- Good understanding of Agile methodology
