Manager/Senior Manager - Investments - NBFC (7-20 yrs)
Job Responsibilities :
1. Knowledge Building & Mentoring of Team:
- Continuously build knowledge in target sectors to identify emerging investment opportunities
- Conduct research and analysis of sectors, markets, and regulatory environments to support knowledge building
- Guide the team on business development, customer focus, relationship management, negotiations, and transaction structuring
2. Business Development:
- Prospect and source debt proposals through professional networking and fieldwork
- Prepare presentations and marketing materials for client coverage, business development activities, and conferences
- Develop a pipeline of potential debt targets in specific sectors
- Cultivate industry relationships with PE/VC funds, banks, financial institutions, and industry associations
3. Transaction Execution & Relationship Management:
- Analyze the operations and financials of potential investee companies
- Manage the end-to-end loan process, including due diligence, risk analysis, credit note preparation, credit committee presentation, debt transaction structuring, client negotiations, and ensuring timely turnaround
- Establish and maintain relationships with portfolio companies and take remedial measures in case of portfolio stresses
- Identify opportunities to support investee companies through knowledge sharing and connecting to relevant ecosystems
4. Technology and Process Improvement:
- Contribute to improving company processes and technology solutions
- Collaborate with the technology and operations teams to ensure customer-focused efforts
5. Marketing Campaigns:
- Provide ideas for implementing marketing campaigns to support business development
- Collaborate with the marketing team to execute campaigns effectively
Job Requirements:
- Educational Qualification - MBA / PGDM - Finance
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in lending and/or investing in high-growth businesses and at least 2 years of experience leading a team of 3+ people
- Extensive experience in establishing and maintaining relationships with entrepreneurs and with other stakeholders
- In-depth understanding of social and environmental impact businesses and the investor ecosystem
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to express ideas clearly and persuasively
- Strong experience in structuring debt transactions for corporate SME clients or high-growth impact enterprises
- Excellent skills with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to thrive and support the building of a collaborative culture within the team
