Manager/Senior Manager - Indirect Taxation/Litigation & Statutory Compliances

Reports to: GM - Indirect Taxation

Chartered Accountant (with LLB, if possible)

- Sound Knowledge of SAP and Conversant with use of Excel, Word and Power Point Presentation

- Experience of handling GST matters, E-way Bill. E-invoicing and also erstwhile Indirect tax laws (Excise, Service tax, VAT/CST, Customs, Entry Tax etc.).

- Ability to work independently, multi-tasking, effectively prioritizing work and real-time management and reporting of assignment in hand.

- Strong Interpersonal skills and ability to manage work/ discussions with external and internal stake-holders.

- Ability to guide process owners from other departments, solve tax-queries and implementation issues.

Roles and Responsibilities :

Contingent Liability reporting :

- Monthly updating of Contingent liability reports from all locations and preparation of a consolidated report to be presented to the Senior Management and EC

- Coordination with all locations for confirmation of the Contingent liability/ provisions made/ duty paid under protest as per books and as per consolidated report

- Coordination with third party consultant/ legal firms for obtaining opinions on ongoing issues.

- Preparation of Contingent liability MIS and Presentation for Management review.

- Addressing queries of Statutory Auditors in relation to Contingent liability reporting and ensure timely closure of the quarterly audits.

- Provide data for preparation of CARO statements to be presented to the Management and in Annual Report

Litigation Management :

- Day to day reporting of all new SCNs/ Order/ Demand notices received at HO and other locations/ States

- Replies to notices or enquiry received from GST Department including DGGI and DRI.

- Attending hearings and visiting tax offices for smooth clusre of ongoing issues/ queries raised.
