We have one very urgent position in one of BEST LIFE INSURANCE organization across the following location --

BASE LOCATION - Mumbai HQ ( Lower Parel )

OFFERED CTC - negotiable + incentives ; depending upon current CTC.

POSITION - Chief Manager / Sr. Chief Manager - Financial planning budgeting & strategy

INDICATIVE JOB PROFILE ( in short ) :-

Accountability Supporting Actions

Support in building Operating and financial plan for the assigned Corporate functions along with overall plan consolidation

1. Preparing the Financial Plan for the function by collaboratively working with the function & finalize cost targets /resources to ensure full functional ownership

2. Finalizing the company Financials basis inputs from functions. Leveraging the planning software and validating the financials by reviewing the assumptions and putting in place various controls and checks in the planning software.

3. Finalizing and executing various sensitivities/scenarios for the function and overall company's financials to aide management in decision making

4. Finalizing and monitoring the performance framework for the function through regular interaction with the function at planning stage to ensure efficiency in cost targets &resources are built-in in the operating plan.

5. Driving the automation initiative by being able to increase the effectiveness of planning software for the channel as well as overall company level for the budgeting to reduce turnaround time and improve productivity

Build a robust framework for continuous monitoring of the channel on various KPIS 


 1. Finalize and create reports/dashboards in consultation with function heads/senior management for measurement & reporting critical trends in channel performance and regularly highlight exceptions to the team/finance head/LT in terms of performance and corrective actions

2. Analyzing the key trends and highlight deviations to the senior management and the function heads on key financial and non-financial parameters. Also, preparing and review of functional scorecards to monitor functions budgets throughout the financial year

3. Finalizing monthly review presentations highlighting key trends and areas of concerns to be shared with functional heads and institutionalizing the process of regular feedback from the function on such reviews

4. Finalizing quarterly board presentations highlighting key trends and areas of concerns to be shared with shareholders and institutionalizing the process of regular feedback from them on such reviews

5. Measuring the business performance and quality of business v/s the investments made in the functional initiatives to update the senior management on the overall viability of these initatives.

Provide decision support system to the function by fulfilling all their financial and analytical needs

1. Help build various financial models and conducting due diligence to optimize costs by working closely with functions in implementing their initiatives.

2. Providing support in conceptualizing various functional level initiatives and support the functions in finalizing the framework for driving initiatives

Analyse, Monitor and report health and quality of business on a regular basis 


. Monitoring quality of business parameters such as persistency, surrenders, claims and leakages and suggesting various strategies to improve the same

Resource Management and Develop individual and team competence to achieve overall effectiveness and manage attrition.

1. As the support extended requires a lot of cross functional knowledge, training is the key. Ensure elaborate functional knowledge sharing and extensive training to have a well motivated and effective team who can provide high quality support and innovative solutions.

2. Develop individual and team competence to achieve overall effectiveness and manage attrition.

3. Manage performance of the team through performance appraisal, effective coaching and counselling.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Work Exp - 4-10 years

Qualification - CA / MBA - Finance

Profiles from BFSI. Need candidates with experience in Planning & Budgeting of Corporate functions, Consolidation & OPEX & Shareholder expenses.
