JOB DESCRIPTION

Functional Title: Employee Relations

Grade: Analyst / Senior Analyst

Employee Relations :

Employee Relation will be an important and critical function within HR responsible to create and drive the right culture and creating a safe environment for Employees. The function is responsible for end to end management of all Employee Relations activities including Grievance, Disciplinary, labour litigation management, Prevention of Sexual Harassment cases & review of related policies/processes/guidelines, regulatory reporting & statutory compliance activities where ever applicable.

Job Duties & Responsibilities :

- Support and coach business leaders / HR Head in developing solutions which enable harmonious and zero risk ER strategies

- Drive and actively contribute to the implementation of the People and ER Strategy initiatives and work streams. Ensure the implementation approach is supported & delivered

- Understand and interpret the ER framework and execute the same to the last mile of the organization

- Proactively lead all employee related investigations and work closely with the ER team to drive the Principles of Natural Justice

- Work with Business and HR colleagues to assist business in execution of HR strategy, embed change into day-to-day working practice and organisation culture so that high performance becomes the norm

- Implement through various programs, the mindset of high-performance culture, effective consequence management and consistently raise the performance standard

- Implement and provide feedback around the employee relations environment for the business.

- Support HR Colleagues to handle performance issues within the ER framework

- Responsible for presenting the outcome of the investigations before the respective committee and ensure recommendation of the committee is implemented by the HR RM.

- Partner with the ER team to infuse and spread the right corporate culture through all their campaigns and initiatives

- Periodically review all ER policies, procedures in line with regulations & group directives

Ensure that all matters related to disciplinary / grievance are complied with the prescribed 'Terms of References'

- Create awareness on employee relations and eventually develop a culture of manager self service in this area of specialization

- Handle all POSH related matters in line with the POSH Act 2013. Ensure governance in these matters are adhered to per the requirements of the Act.

- End to end Employee Relations activities including Grievance, Disciplinary, Prevention of Sexual Harassment cases, HR legal cases, Contingent Workforce Management

- MIS reporting of all ER matters with relevant stakeholders including regulatory compliance requirement in a timely manner

- Responsible for driving the right culture within the Organization in matters related to Employee 'Risk and Governance'.

- Conduct periodical training to new hires, first time managers and POSH committee on Employee Relations

Other requirements :

- Postgraduate with HR / Legal / Labour Laws qualification preferred

- 5-7 years of experience

- Experience in Employee Relations with exposure to Labour litigations, trade union management preferred.

- Ability to think strategically, and should have good analytical skills

- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills

- Full range of distinctive capabilities and at least 70% of technical capabilities in employee relations.

- Detailed knowledge of external HR best practice, understands and challenges HR policy, direction and practice
