Position Purpose: To handle pan India legal cases for Collection function

Position Manager / Senior Manager - Collection Legal

Location Corporate

Reporting to

Head Collections - Secured Assets

Span of Control (Geog & Nos of Reportees )

Specific Responsibilities

Managing, Identifying and appointing panel of lawyers across country

Establish & Follow Legal Policy, Guidelines

Help create SLA( service level agreements) with various vendors like collection agencies, repossession agencies, stockyard, on line bidding agencies, skip tracing agencies

Should be well conversant with filing sec 138 cases, sec 156 cases, arbitration cases for attaching vehicles, housing properties.

Review progress of such cases which shall be filed on Pan India basis and maintain MIS for the same in collection system.

Liasion with court officials.

Responsible for Recovery of all legal cases & write off cases on account of skip, Loss on sale, intentional default.

Advicing course of action in event of any cases filed against the company officials while undertaking collection activity and co-ordinating with local lawyers strategy for quashing/resolving such cases.

Crisis Management in case of complaints against employees.

Protecting Brand Image.

Relevant Experience in years : 6 - 8 years

Technical Competencies /Skills

1. Sincere, Man management, Organizing skills, Positive in outlook, good market reference, articulate, resourceful with administration( courts, Police)

2. Sound knowledge of Sec 138, Sec 156, Arbitration, Sarfesi act and handling such cases.

3. Should have exposure on handling matters relating to Housing Finance, Construction Finance, & Vehicle Finance.
