Manager/Senior Manager - Client Onboarding - Asset Servicing (8-10 yrs)
Position Title : Manager/Senior Manager
Department : Onboarding
Business : Mumbai
Position reporting to : AVP
JOB PURPOSE :
- The role is responsible for onboarding of FPI clients for custody
- Maintaining client data, managing client queries, handling documentation and conducting necessary client due diligence to minimize any potential risk / liability
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Managerial Responsibilities :
- Ensuring proper follow of onboarding process, Audit Handling
- Connect with stakeholders for improvement of FPI Onboarding process
Functional Responsibilities :
- Handling client documentation as per checklist to ensure smooth onboarding of FPIs & FDIs
- Getting client accounts activated by timely co-ordination with all stakeholders including depository, bank, compliance, stock exchanges etc.
- Ensuring compliance of SEBI regulations while onboarding new clients
- Conducting necessary due diligence checks on all prospective customers and minimize any potential risk / liability
- Stay updated with regulatory changes and appraise the team regarding the same in terms of the changes that may be required in existing process
- Develop system / process to track process efficiency
- Handling day to day client queries and attending all escalated issues from internal and external clients
- Ensure all regulatory reporting / client reporting is completed on time
- Maintain good relationships with the business, regulators, clients etc.
- Develop comprehensive checklists to avoid any miss-outs
Job Requirements :
- Qualifications Postgraduate in Finance
- Experience 8 to 10 Years with a DDP/Custody team in any of the Indian Custodians
Functional Competencies :
- Stays updated on regulatory requirements on client onboarding for FPIs as per SEBI regulation
- Basic Understanding Broking, Custody & Clearing Businesses
- Ability to foresee potential risks
- Understanding business and regulatory reporting requirements
- Knowledge of various due diligence tools available
- Knowledge of excel/power-point
