Manager/Senior Manager - Buying - eCommerce - IIM/MDI/ISB

Job Summary:

We are looking for the candidate from Tier 1 Colleges.

- We are looking for someone with experience in Womens Wear

The position reports into the Head (Sourcing & Operations) and is responsible to work with Category & matrix functions to create long-term sourcing strategy for each category / product, identify best partners for the Company, ensure the best value sourcing solutions and continuously work on cost improvements ensuring highest levels of customer satisfaction.

Sourcing strategy/plan

- Understand the long term needs from the category (products, specifications, volumes), link it to existing manufacturing capabilities in India and create a long term sourcing strategy (& roadmap) engaging key stakeholders

- Leads development of new articles based on Category strategy and roadmap

Supplier Mapping :

- Work with matrix teams (Quality, Sustainability, Operations, Finance etc) to shortlist potential suppliers for our needs

- Lead RFQ- s, audits and prototyping process to create business case for the shortlisted supplier(s)

- Responsible to present the final business case proposal, including Risk Assessment / Gap Analysis and plans to close these actions to Steering Group & ensuring supplier start up decision is taken

Cost Management :

- Responsible to work with Cost Break Down models for all products

- Responsible to drive cost improvement initiatives and deliver constant savings

- Benchmark cost data with market to deliver cost leadership

- Supplier Relationship Management

- Buyer is the first escalation point for all supplier related issues

Desired skills and experience :

- Engineering background, with experience of working in manufacturing environments

- Should have worked with cost break down models

- Should have worked with Textiles including cut & sew operations

- Strong leadership capabilities

- Self-driven

- Strong problem-solving skills

- Willing to travel
