Our client is redefining the future of student living by curating and managing residential and purpose-built student accommodation options. Their web platform is a place that helps students connect and interact with other students, and find the perfect home and roommate.

This disruptive startup was founded in Singapore over a year ago by 2 veterans of the real estate & Hospitality domain who collectively have more than 2 decades of experience and have worked with brands like JLL, KPMG, EY, Marriot etc.

The company has been backed by marquee VCs including 500 Startups and is on track to a series A funding. They cater to the top end of the student living market and already offer premium student housing facilities for top universities in Asia including National University of Singapore, Singapore Management University, and INSEAD Business School.

As the Mgr/ Sr. Mgr/ AVP Corporate Finance & Fund Raising, you will manage the process of raising funds for debt capital while engaging with a host of regulators, wealth managers, and legal advisors.

What you will do:

- Managing communication with the Board and Shareholders, including preparation of board presentations, and providing regular updates on the business

- Owning the MIS and metrics to be presented to investors.

- Working with cross-functional teams for preparing the metrics and generating the MIS as per schedule.

- Preparing responses and provide information about the business for ad-hoc requests raised by the board and investors

- Helping the founders schedule periodic meetings with the Companys investors

- Working closely with the founders in developing plans for fundraising activities & investor management

- Preparing presentations for potential investors and independently managing the outreach and communication process with them.

- Assisting the founders and the finance team during the fund-raiser process, including preparation of Data Room and assisting investors in performing diligence on the Company.

- Providing support on as needed basis for completing the required documentation and to close the fund-raise process

- Tracking all inbound targets, qualifying the leads and preparing the initial rationale/ pitch for investment

- Conducting diligence on the targets identified and assisting in closing and integration activities.

- Developing a complete understanding of our business, and regularly updating the MIS format to reflect the growth in business.

- Executing projects as required to integrate the updates into the regular MIS creation process.

- Identifying the key metrics for each department based on the maturity of the department, and implementing a process to provide regular updates to senior management. These metrics should form the input for decisions around each department.

- Owning complete finance responsibilities for consumer-focused business including managing AR, AP, etc

- Strengthening corporate finance structure and execute a strategy for managing multi-location revenue flow.

- Financial planning and implementation, capital raising - Debt and Equity from institutional investors, and managing investor relations

- Driving the business strategy by creating a pro-active finance organization that works across multiple stakeholders to align functions to financial goals

Candidate Profile:

What you need to have:

- Minimum 4 years experience in a front-end investment banking role with client interaction

- Tier one MBA preferred but not mandatory

- Previous experience as an Investment analyst in PE/ VC funds

- Working similar to Transaction and deal advisory people in MBB

- Analytical bent of mind & strong judgmental attributes

- Excellent Communication and negotiation skills

- Experience in digitization/ automation of credit process

- Having a working knowledge of real estate
