Manager - Sales - Medical/Healthcare/Pharma - African Countries


Sales Manager is required to conduct sustainable sale of our client's product portfolio in his respective sales territory in order to achieve the set business targets for the organization.

Job Context :

- The job involves selling APIs to drug manufacturers spread across the specific region. The region is dominated by top ORG listed formulators.

- Most of the customers fall under branded generic category with operations in domestic as well as export market creating a challenging business environment.

- Since our client has a strong brand value hence selling these products requires appropriate technical knowledge, understanding of the entire value chain, commercial acumen and relationship management.

Job Content :

Key Areas of Accountability / Responsibility :

- Plan and execute business strategy in line with the company's targets for the region.

- Sustain and grow the business in the region in terms of volume, value and market share.

- To achieve sales and collection targets on monthly basis and to control credit exposure.

Key Account Management Plan :

- Ensure quality service to customers to achieve customer satisfaction and delight.

- To coach associate staff members on market conditions / requirement, so that they understand customer needs and service in the best possible manner

- To effectively plan and forecast sales for the region.

- To collect and update market intelligence for the Africa region

- To effectively manage network of distributors and agents in the region

Authorities :

- Offering price and volume as per Price Guideline and strategy

- Determination of credit exposure

- Approval of commission against the indent raised by the agent as per management guidelines.

- Complete control of distributors and agents to channelize sales in the region as per company's business strategy.

- Utilising the resources allocated for sales coordination.

Note : Candidates must have exposure in south african market in selling the APIs to pharma companies.
