Job Summary :
- We are looking for an experienced and result-driven Sales Manager to lead customer acquisition and business growth in the logistics domain. The candidate will be responsible for developing new clients, maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, and achieving consistent sales targets.
Key Responsibilities :
Customer Acquisition & Relationship Management:
- Identify and acquire new customers in the logistics and transportation sector. Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Market Intelligence:
- Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify new opportunities for growth.
Sales Achievement:
- Meet or exceed assigned transportation sales targets consistently through proactive selling and strategic account management.
Account Management & Collections:
- Ensure timely follow-up on outstanding payments and maintain collections within the agreed credit limit and credit period.
Client Engagement:
- Conduct regular meetings and business reviews with key clients to strengthen relationships and explore additional business opportunities.
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement effective action plans for market expansion and penetration into new segments.
Reporting:
- Maintain detailed sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback for management review.
Required Skills & Competencies :
- Proven track record in sales and business development within the logistics or transportation industry.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships and manage multiple clients effectively.
- Excellent understanding of freight forwarding, supply chain, and transport operations.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM tools.
Educational Qualification :
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- MBA/PGDM in Sales & Marketing (preferred).
