Sales Manager II Job description

Experience : 7-8 years

Overview :

- The Sales Manager must be a seasoned sales professional who is entrepreneurial minded, enthusiastic about building a market for products and ultimately responsible for the delivery of assigned revenue goals.

- This individual will be responsible for supporting and expanding direct and indirect sales with assigned partners, developing new partners and direct customers as appropriate in APAC, ME, and India, and coordinating regional marketing activities as needed. Position reports to VP Sales and Business Development.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

- Develop and implement territory-wide business and sales action plans to achieve sales quota in the geography. Plans should be coordinated with channel partners as appropriate.

Ensure the plan elements include :

- Building a solid opportunity pipeline;

- Account mapping and opportunity identification;

- Proactively and effectively utilizing CRM system;

- Formulating and executing major account strategies;

- Efficiently qualifying prospects and following a disciplined solution selling approach;

- Strategies for lead generation

- Support and expand existing distribution channels with assigned resellers, Systems Integrators, Consultants and Carriers, etc in territory as needed to achieve revenue goals.

- Ensure partner knowledge of products through Lunch and Learn Sessions; Webinars or other knowledge transfer means

- As appropriate create direct customer relationships.

- Support all direct and indirect sales efforts through creation of proposals, quotes, statements of work and as necessary RFP- s, RFI- s, etc.

- Maintain an accurate monthly and quarterly forecast.

- Recommend and drive approved regional marketing activities as necessary to meet sales objectives

- Ensure the success of customer implementations by assisting with transition of opportunities from pre-sales to implementation

- Provide market feedback to product management regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs, and generate new business and product development ideas.

- Works closely with multiple internal and external groups (e.g. Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, Professional Services, Advertising Agency, etc.) as needed to maximize solution offerings and sales revenue.

- Make efficient use of sales support and marketing resources.

Education/Additional Skills :

- Bachelor degree preferred, in Business or Computer Science, plus 5 years of selling experience.

- Proven track record of contact center technology related sales success.

- Medium-High technical understanding of contact center technologies

- Must possess a high level of energy with a positive attitude, an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to grow within the organization.

- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales quotas.

- Ability to leverage existing C-level relationships and/or technology partner relationships

- Ability to operate in a highly competitive environment.

- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

- Ability to travel as required to meet objectives

- Strongly prefer knowledge, sales expertise with Avaya, Cisco, Genesys, Aspect or similar contact center products
