BlackBuck is an online marketplace for logistics transactions, helping customers move anything, from anywhere to everywhere. Our customers range across - individuals- small business establishments- corporates-, who need to move goods.

BlackBuck is a team of passionate people who have come together to disrupt the largest unorganized market - - Transportation. Using technology we are making freight execution efficient and easy. Team BlackBuck was founded in 2014 by a team possessing 25 Years of logistics experience, strong consulting background and alumni of IIT, based out of Bangalore. The company is Series-B funded by Tier One Investors.

The current transportation gets executed through a market structure which results in multiple inefficiencies for both trucker and customer. Customer has the issues of quality of transportation, availability and pricing. The truck owner is unable to discover the right price in the market, sweat the asset and safeguard against malpractices. Overall, the freight market is not structured today for a streamlined transaction. Using technology, we are making the overall process simple and effective.

BlackBuck brings truckers and customers on a platform to execute the transaction using intelligent auction engines equipped with smart mobile interfaces. Integration of technology with on-ground execution helps manage execution in the most effective manner. Given the low technology penetration in this industry, the scope for innovation is immense. This will add value not only to the stakeholders but help redefine the logistics paradigm for India. The logistics industry is long due for a transformation.

CORE COMPETENCIES:

Education- UG: Engineering from IIT/ NIT, PG: MBA from Premium Tier 1 Universities like IIM, NMIMS, IIT,XLRI,XIM,GIM,NITIE,SIBM,KJSIMR

- Candidates should have minimum 1 plus years of experience

- Candidates should have done quota sales handling a revenue of 100 crores per annum

- Exceptional Sales Skills with strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Good commercial acumen and flair for business

- Go - getter attitude

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITY:

- Responsible to lead the business development efforts for a particular industry segment / Region / Accounts

- Build business development strategy for the industry segment - Sizing, Segmentation, Roadmap

- Actively Manage the entire sales engagement from lead generation to transactions initiation

- Engage with the client base on a continuous basis to generate more sales

- Build and lead a team of business development managers to handle operations

- Responsible for achieving profitability of accounts as per the targets

- Achieve the set targets for the industry sector handled

- Drive the requirements definition for the IT Products to be build for the customers

- Work with Account Management / Operations to ensure service delivery to customers

- Actively engaged in defining the business strategy for the organi
