Manager - RWD - Pharmacoepidemiology (9-17 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

Innovation:

- Encourages the team for "out of the box thinking" and develop an open culture where team members can share their ideas about "what else can be done"

- Oversee and monitor the implementation of value addition that are insightful or actionable

- Proactively encourages, supports, and guides the team to look for continuous improvement

Delivery:

- Ensures high quality deliverables adhering to timelines using their high-level expertise in SAS/R programming and RWD knowledge

- Training and development of team members

- Leads the planning and execution of multiple programming activities at project level

- Assigns work being cognizant of project needs and an individual skillset, bandwidth, and interest areas of a resource

- Identify gaps in business processes and convert them into opportunities

Drive performance:

- Encourages, drives, and monitors best programming practices in all the project deliverables

- Support newer and more agile technologies

- Makes prudent decisions to achieve desired outcomes and recommends solutions.

Quality, Governance and Auditing:

- Develop responses to audit/inspection questions and assists in completing CAPAs within agreed timelines

- Has to act as an auditor for the team to make sure the team adheres to the defined quality standards

Change Management:

- Ensures that the team members have the resources available to adapt to changes quickly without effecting the deliverables

Leadership & People development:

- Manage the performance of team members to achieve the best results out of them by identifying training and development needs, constructive feedback, motivating them and giving them a fair opportunity to grow, rewarding and recognizing

- Sets team vision and objectives for long term goals for the team based on the business needs and the talents of employees

- Ensures a proper mix of performance, innovation, trust, and culture based on an individual's strength

- Drives the team to acquire expertise in therapeutic areas of interest and epidemiological concepts

Collaboration and Matrix working:

- Strategize and drive stakeholder engagement by identifying their needs, collaborating with them, communicating expectations, timelines, and issues, suggesting, and implementing solutions

- Identifies and creates a process for stakeholder engagement and propagates these processes to the team to be followed like communication, assistance beyond regular book of work

- Promote collaborative culture and arrange introduction meets with various teams including DMA to increase familiarity, leverage different skillset in different teams on projects to get insightful outputs

Recruitment and Retention strategy:

- Build a recruitment strategy to attract and hire exceptional talent, retain outstanding people; embed new people processes

Accountability for impact:

- Encourage the team members to take accountability of their work by owning the work and driving through performance and communication

- Training and Development:

- Plan and implement trainings for any new identified technology

- Inspires and engages

- Inspires and motivates entire team around the vision of RWDMP, RWA & DMA and bringing out the best from people

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

- Master's Degree/ Bachelor of Technology in Life Sciences, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health, Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field with applicable experience

- Prior team leadership experience, has led organizations of size 8 or greater

- 9 -12 years' experience. Min 5 years of experience working with real-world data for use in pharmacoepidemiology research with good practical knowledge in biostatistics applied to clinical/epidemiological research

- Technical Expertise (Programming with SAS/R), RWD Knowledge, RWD Analytics, Data Interpretation and scientific support, Therapy area/asset knowledge, Epidemiological concepts, Scientific document comprehension, Industry Knowledge/Competitive Intelligence, Technical and Business Communication, Quality and Governance, consulting, and Project Management
