Client : A leading Private Sector Bank Job Location : Mumbai Role : Risk Analyst for bank / Foreign Institution and sovereign risk group Job Description : - Credit assessment of banks and financial institutions (foreign/domestic): - To assess credit risk of banks/ FIs by analyzing bank/ FI annual reports, rating agency research reports as prepare rating rationale. - To engage with business teams to analyze business requirements and recommend limits on the bank/Foreign Institution as per internal framework - To present the risk team's views to the sanctioning committees. - Credit assessment of sovereign risk : - To assess credit risk of countries by analyzing macro economic indicators of countries rating agency research reports and prepare rating rationale - To engage with business team to analyze business requirements and recommend limits on the country as per internal framework - To present the risk team's view to the sanctioning committees. - Monitoring of exposure - To track news/development on sovereign/bank on daily basis - To flag off adverse developments to senior management Desired : - Knowledge: Understanding of sovereign macro-economic indicators, bank balance sheets, trade products ( LC, BG) Treasury products (swaps, currency buy/sell) - Skills: efficient in spreadsheet / ppt, excellent written /verbal communication; understanding of statistical concepts, regression analysis, credit scorecard modelling, transition matrix will be added advantage - Attitude: collaboration, stability seeking, team spirit, multi-tasking - Experience : a) past experience of bank / sovereign analysis through appraisal note (b) experience of presenting notes to committees
