Manager - RIGID Packaging Plant

Our Client is a multinational trading and manufacturing group, this role is for the Rigid Packaging Division of the group.

Job Responsibilities:

- Provide leadership for the successful day-to-day operation of the facility.

- Work closely with quality personnel to review product consistency while monitoring scrap rates to determine trends and areas of improvement.

- Review established production schedules for all manufacturing departments to ensure established inventory levels are met while operating at the highest efficiency possible.

- Coordinate the hiring and training of all manufacturing personnel.

- Monitor operation expenses and research ways to reduce costs while maintaining product quality.

- Maintain and support a safety and housekeeping program, including all timely communication initiatives.

- Analyze workforce requirements.

- Conduct performance appraisals and provide coaching and guidance to all operations employees.

- Encourage and promote operating in a continuous improvement environment.

- Remove production constraints; allocate human and equipment resources and direct production employees to attain all established goals.

- Remove waste and constraints from the production process to improve efficiencies and enhance productivity.

- Communicate with customers, vendors, new development team to develop new product & Project strategies.

- Develop all necessary policies and procedures to ensure that plant and equipment is effectively maintained to ensure maximum production efficiency.

- Develop and maintain good working relationships with customers and suppliers.

- Assist in negotiating contracts with contractors and suppliers to ensure the cost-effective provision of services to the factory.

- Develop and implement short- and long-term plans to ensure that the factory has the necessary resources to meet business objectives.

- Develop effective working relationships with all employees to ensure the maintenance of harmonious employee relations within the factory.

- Ensure the QMS based on ISO 9001:2008/ FACC 22000 is adhered to.

- Perform any other related duties as Management may require from time to time.

Skills Required: -

- Experience in plastics/ preforms/ closures (RIGID Packaging).

- 15+ years of plant/factory experience

- B.E or CPET qualification

- Hands on experience on Husky/ Netstal/ Sacmi.

- Ability to handle production/ maintenance/ plant operations/ warehousing/ KAIZEN/ 5S/ Six Sigma.

- Fluency in English with strong Technical background.

- Ability to communicate well with the machinery suppliers/ mould makers/ staffs/ stakeholders etc.

- Should have handled a plant capacity of 1000 - 1500 metric tons & 300+ work force.
