Manager - Regulatory Compliance - Credit Rating Business (6-9 yrs)

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES : 

- 6-8 years of work experience with good working knowledge of managing business/core/regulatory compliance

- To monitor and disseminate the regulatory landscape, evaluate the implications and policy requirements/changes and ensure adherence to the same

- Support the monitoring of compliance with applicable policies and regulations.

- Provide transaction based advise to all the businesses of CRISIL

- Preparation of business dashboards, MIS, reports for the leadership as per the compliance framework

- To develop testing programs for implementation

- To review the breaches, incidents, complaints and conduct investigations

FUNCTIONAL & BEHAVIOURAL KNOWLEDGE :

- Has breadth of knowledge of the industry/markets or products that he/she monitors

- Applies knowledge of business drivers and external market to help design compliance programs and work in a complex regulatory environment

PROBLEM SOLVING :

- Solves difficult compliance issues for the group and advises less seasoned compliance professionals on how to handle sensitive topics and negotiations- Has ability to judge between the commercial needs of the businesses and the constraints of regulations, and make recommendations accordingly

INTERACTIONS :

- Collaborates with other departments such as Risk Management, Internal Audit, and Human Resources to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution

- Consults with Regulatory Affairs, Legal as well as country/ regional regulators as needed to resolve difficult or sensitive legal and compliance issues- Initiates primary responses from respective regulators

TYPICAL SCOPE & IMPACT :

- Contributes to the achievement of Compliance department objectives

MINIMUM & PREFERRED EDUCATION :

- Company Secretary/ Chartered Accountant with LLB qualification preferred

MINIMUM & PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS

Experience: 6-8 years of work experience with good working knowledge of managing business/core/regulatory compliance.

- Excellent in MS office Skills, Excel and PPT skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Understanding of Financial Services sector in the Indian and Global context

- Competencies to translate compliance concepts into practical applications of day-to-day operations

- Ability to comprehend and provide solutions for Compliance related matters
