CTC - 25 - 30 LPA Job purpose : - To procure material at most competitive prices, and help reduce/ hold product cost so as to improve profitability. - To ensure right quality of materials in accordance with specified Quality standards. - To ensure availability of material at all manufacturing locations, without any loss of production. - To maintain cost effective inventory with least lead time and without compromising production schedules. - To ensure sound process for selection and evaluation of suppliers, maintain and nurture supplier relationships to get best possible cost advantage in comparison to other paint companies. - To monitor compliances with all relevant laws of the land. Responsibilities: - To review and propose changes in purchasing policy due to impact of govt. policy, regulation changes. - To guide HEAD - SCPC on material availability, development, trends, cash flow requirements, costing and technical know-how required by for suppliers. - To ensure continuous supply / availability of quality material to factories. - To monitor acceptable level of inventory. - To achieve cost reduction targets - To maintain effective balance of imports vis- vis local purchasing as per currency fluctuations - To co-ordinate with all departments, finance, technical, IT, factories, costing, excise and also with external agencies like banks, clearing agent, for smooth functioning. - To ensure compliance with relevant laws of the land and corporate governance in the matters under this position - To maintain cordial relations with suppliers & address their issues timely. - To keep management up to date about the trends of raw materials & expected impact on company at regular intervals. - MIS of benchmarking reporting. - Building a team of effective buyers and expeditors. - Reviewing and correcting critical parameters relating to purchases using relevant BI/BO dashboards.
