We have an urgent mandate for a Quality Manager with the topmost Foods and FMCG MNC in India. The position is to be based in Bangalore.

Job Description:

Identify, recommend areas and set targets for quality related improvement in process, product and systems for the category. Assist and ensure implementation of quality systems for the new plants in line with the requirements.

1. Quality Standards, Systems & Assessments

- Quality Systems - Defining Quality System requirements via Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Monitoring quality system performance in accordance with defined SOPs through compliance checks

- Quality Audits - Coordinating and executing all Atta manufacturing facility audits through audits (internal as well as external) and tracking the audit findings till closure

- Quality Management - Monitoring and reviewing RM/ PM/ FG quality of all factories for compliance with specifications and providing regular feedback to RM/PM procurement team regarding receipt quality

- Coordinating and execution of WD/HUB visits and share feedback with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement from source (Wheat) to consumer (supply chain)

- Complaint Handling - Supporting market complaint process by ensuring that all complaints requiring investigation are appropriately answered in a timely manner and preparing reduction plans for execution.

- Conduct Quality assessments & training across all pillars at identified 10 business critical CMUs

- Drive implementation of digitization project across Units (which is in addition to category specific QMS implementations, by specific categories) to capture safe / unsafe practices, Quality hazard spotting, etc.

- To horizontally implement QMS for Operational stability & Execution excellence through strategizing the design blueprint, development of process workflows, testing and training/ Go Live

- Standardize documentation for quality checks & controls in digitized platform to enable consistent review & analysis across categories

- New Product Commercialization - Supporting new product commercialization by coordinating scale-up trials with factory team, providing inputs for new equipment/flow/process design, as well as issue resolution with cross functional teams

2. Compliance Management

- Act as interface between regulatory requirements laid out by the Govt of India (both FSSAI, LM) & the functioning of the Units in category

- Review changes / updations in regulatory requirements in the Gazette & guide the categories in terms of applicability & implications of these notifications for their processes /products

3. Capability & Culture Development

- Develop training & assessment calendar to cover all the Units to assess the quality practices along the defined pillars & benchmarked industry practices as well as train the various teams in Category

- Drive initiatives to improve on the gap assessment of quality plant performance, in line with global benchmarks & improvement of PQRS scores across Units

- Guide various units w.r.t preparation for participation in Food Safety Awards

Lead Quality Week Celebration as a culture to imbibe its need, expectation and monitor outcome across all Units

1. Qualifications

- Preferably Graduate in Engineering/ Food Technology with minimum 7-8 years of experience in Multi-National Company/(s) in technical/ quality related roles for leading product categories

2. Skills

- Knowledge of foods industry manufacturing processes (product and process flow)

- Knowledge of quality improvement tools and techniques (7 QC tools, FMEA, DMAIC, Six sigma, SPC etc.)

- Knowledge of statutory compliances (FSSAI, Legal Metrology, Factory Act etc.)

- Analytical Ability & Systems Orientation

- Influencing ability / assertiveness

- Planning and coordination skills

Job Location: Bangalore

Salary: 35-40 Lpa
