Quality Assurance Manager - FMCG/Bread

REPORTS TO- Functionally to Group QA Head and admin wise to Plant Head

LOCATION - Gr Noida unit

POSITION PURPOSE :

- Primary purpose of the position

Manage and lead the QA function of the unit that involves Bread and Burger Buns business

Principle Accountabilities :

Main responsibilities/ Principal duty

- Manage, monitor and improve the QC of Input materials and finished product

- Quality Assurance to ensure Defect free product (within agreed limit)

- Food safety & GMP - Ensure safe product and GMP compliance against the stipulated norms

- Vendor QA - Audit, develop and manage major RM & PM vendors

- Regulatory Compliance - Ensure compliance against FSSAI, Legal Metrology and Pollution control norms (only the testing and reporting)

- Handling and managing Customer complaints

- Documents control - Effective management of current set of Documents and work towards a paperless Documentation

- Certification - Take lead role in managing and complying to SQMS, FSSC 22000 certification

- Manage, develop and steer a team of 15 members to the best performing level

- New Initiatives - Try to Lead the team with 5S culture that will help improve the Quality culture of the unit

- Supplier / Associate / Customer relation - Understand the requirement of the Job work customers and coordinate with them to the best of their satisfaction

ENVIRONMENT :

What internal/external factors(competition/government controls/market locations etc) affect achievement of the position accountabilities

Complaint management, compliance to Regulatory compliance and Customer intervention of Job work vendors directly or indirectly influence the achievement of this role

SKILL REQUIREMENTS/ BEHAVIOURIAL TRAITS :

- Complete Knowledge of Food safety and GMP

- Thorough knowledge of FSSC 22000 requirements

- Should be able to manage pressure situation

- Should have sound communication skill

- Good Interpersonal skill

- Hard working with result orientation

EDUCATION / EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE :

Education - B Tech in Food Technology or M Sc in Chemistry with 10-12 yrs experience in QA function. A hands on experience of 3-4 yrs in Bakery will be given preferance

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND / OR SKILLS

Qualified Lead Auditor / Hands on experience in implementing 5S / Working as MR while implementing FSSC 22000/HACCP/ISO 22000
