Purchase Manager

Experience: 3-10

Location: Mumbai

Must-Have:

- Experience in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

- Experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in the e-commerce or retail industry.

JD:

- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.

- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

- Analytical mindset, capable of conducting cost analysis and market research to inform purchasing decisions.

- Knowledge of inventory management principles and techniques.

- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and online marketplace dynamics is a plus.

1. Supplier Management: Assist in identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, conducting market research to ensure competitive pricing and quality products. Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms, discounts, and favourable payment arrangements. Collaborate with the procurement team to develop a robust supplier base that aligns with our business needs.

2. Purchase Orders and Inventory Management: Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness of order details. Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the inventory management team to prevent stockouts and overstock situations. Coordinate with various departments to forecast demand and ensure timely procurement of goods

3. Cost Analysis and Budgeting: Assist in analysing pricing trends, market fluctuations, and other factors to make informed purchasing decisions. Contribute to budget planning and cost-saving initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.

4. Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier information. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements related to procurement activities.

5. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and logistics, to ensure seamless procurement-to-delivery processes. Support the Purchase Manager in strategic planning, vendor selection, and overall procurement strategy development
