Purchase Manager - The role requires strategic sourcing, vendor management, cost optimization, and ensuring uninterrupted supply for large-scale operations. Key Responsibilities: Primary Skills - Data Analysis, Purchase Transactions, Vendor Management, Procurement, inventory management, Bulk Procurement Qualification- MBA ,MCOM - End-to-end responsibility for procurement of bulk agricultural commodities (corn, rice, grains, etc.). - Manage daily high-volume procurement (not less than 500 tonnes per day; ideally 500-1000 tonnes+). - Build and maintain strong vendor and farmer network to ensure consistent supply at competitive prices. - Negotiate long-term contracts and spot purchases while ensuring quality standards. - Monitor commodity markets, trends, and pricing to optimize procurement strategy. - Ensure adherence to quality, compliance, and regulatory requirements in procurement. - Collaborate with internal teams (production, supply chain, finance) for seamless operations. - Drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining reliability of supply. - Develop robust MIS and reporting for procurement spend, inventory, and price trends. Desired Candidate Profile: - Minimum 8+ years of experience in agricultural commodity procurement. - Proven track record of handling bulk procurement of 500-1000 tonnes per day. - Strong exposure in industries such as starch, poultry, rice milling, FMCG, or similar agri-based sectors. - Candidates with prior experience in leading organizations (e.g., ITC, or similar scale companies) will be preferred. - Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills. - Strong market knowledge of commodity pricing, supply chain, and seasonal trends. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume procurement environment. Languages to be known- Hindi, Marwadi, Gujarati and moderate English. Person should be from Agro Industry and Person working in Food Processing and Trading Company like Startch Industry and Cargill Industry will be preferable. Working Days : 6 Days (Mon-Sat) Working Timings : 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM
