Urgent Hiring for a Purchase Manager for a leading Automotive company based in Pithampur. Details are as follows :

Qualification :


- DME/BE in Mechanical Engineering Or MBA in SCM

- Well versed with SAP

Experience :

- At least 7-10 years relevant experience in Auto / Auto ancillary industry.

- Exposure to SAP

Job Responsibilities :

- Verifying the purchase orders of raw materials, consumables, spares & bought out items as per requirements.

- Responsible for cost, inventory supply and delivery goals to meet operational objectives.

- Rate Negotiations with the supplier for the base price of raw materials, consumables, spares & bought out items, Tooling, Job work & Scrap Sale.

- Monitoring raw material purchases on day to day basis.

- Negotiation and assessing the performance of the supplier based on various criteria such as Quality System, Negotiation, Timely delivery and credit terms.

- Drive cost improvements on sustaining items, as well as seek ongoing ways to drive cost reduction through improved processes and pricing negotiation.

- Implementing adequate kaizen concepts wherever possible in for cost control/ saving.

- Communicate forecast projections to Suppliers and assure future requirements can be achieved.

- Strong analytical skills (i.e. cost metrics, quotation analysis, supplier selection)

- Ensuring Internal / external customer relationship with uninterrupted Quality Material inflow to shop, delivered on time

- RM & BOP Procurement timely to meet production demand, Inventory / Cost reduction & VAVE activity

- Sourcing and Developing suppliers for new projects

- Identifying and qualifying new vendors, evaluating their technical, commercial and capacity capabilities.

- Developing new vendors; assisting them in meeting technical requirements.

- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work.

- Appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

- Finalizing Purchase MIS Report to be submitted to the management on monthly basis.

- Supplier development based on QCDDM

- Knowledge of EMS compliances and environmentally safe procedure.

- Maintaining documents & records as per TS16949 & IATF standard.
